The usually calm and composed Deepika Padukone has come up in arms against a leading daily which had
apparently published a rather demeaning piece of news about her dressing at an
event.
Deepika Padukone had worn a low cut dress designed by Anamika
Khanna for the trailer launch of ‘Chennai Express’ last year. This
dress had come under the daily’s scanner for the design.
When Deepika read the tweet followed by a picture gallery
of similar dressing faux-pas by other actresses, she lost her calm and gave the
news portal a befitting reply in a series of tweets.
Deepika Padukone, with a string of hits last year and the recently
released ‘Finding Fanny’ doing quite well at the box office, has most certainly
carved her own niche in the industry. With the love pouring on for her movies,
there will be, surely, no dearth of support for the step she took today. Later,
‘Finding Fanny’ director Homi Adajania also tweeted in support and registered
his anger.
