They set off in high hopes of finding Fanny.

22. Happy New Year - Mohini Joshi

Mohini
Mohini

Deepika is shown as a Maharashtrian girl, good dancer with a specific look. Her character in the film influences the lives of his co-stars - Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Boman Irani - as all of them are dancers and Deepika will help them win a dance trophy. Mohini Joshi is the character's name who is a bar dancer. She enjoys dancing and she worships dance. She and Abhishek's character Nandu have grown up together. She become the teacher of the gang and teaches them to dance once they come together. Mohini is the only member of her family who earns.

23. Piku – Piku

Piku

Piku is my pet name in the film. She is a girl who is born in Kolkata and brought up in Delhi. The Bengali essence is very little in her. It could be a family belonging to any other part of the country as well, not necessarily in Kolkata. As she is brought up in Delhi, she has the essence of the city. Deepika’s role is very global and universal in that sense. It's very identifiable in the situation. The content of the film is very universal.

Piku

24. Tamasha – Tara

Tara

Tara is a girl who met Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) who helps him shatter his coccon. Deepika is luminous, and she is much more sure-footed in her part. Tara is drawn with welcome depth.

Tara

Mastani
25. Bajirao Mastani – Mastani

Deepika Padukone has donned this daunting role. It is indeed a character that needs much style as well as valour to play the role. Deepika Padukone will be doing all the stunts by herself fearlessly. She has always gone apart from the league and has done something that would soothe the eyes of the audience.

The reel cycle ends here  but with upcoming roles of Deepika is going to keep moving forward. So stay connected. Thank you.

THE REEL CYCLE 4

Alina Malik
 16. Race 2

This Abbas –Mustan blockbuster filled with action and thriller brought out Deepika (Alina Malik) as a daring, courageous actress who had performed hi-octane stunts without a double. This role was one of its kind for Deepika.

Alina Malik

Naina Talwar
17. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Deepika was portayed as a shy, introverted, under-confident person to coming into her own. She felt have gone through that journey myself. Naina Talwar was a very studious girl. The role was so personal that Deepika felt as though she was being herself apart from the studious part though.

Meenamma Lochini Azhagusundaram

18. Chennai Express

Deepika Padukone was seen as a Tamil girl in Chennai Expres. Her performance was loved by everyone and the Tamil accent was definitely a hit. The movie earned well at the box office and Menamma aka Deepika delivered one of her best performances in ‘Chennai Express.      Meena, played by Deepika Padukone is very fondly referred to as Meenamma by her loved ones. She is a South Indian lady who stays in Komban village with her huge family. She lost her mother when she was a child.

Leela

Leela

Princess Vandhana Devu
Princess Vandhana Devi

THE REEL CYCLE 3

We have the middle segment of the Deepika's reel cycle with post. Hasn't she put a lot of work into these movies?

So let's continue our journey on this cycle. Third cycle goes like this:

Kalpana Dutta
11. Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey

Deepika portrays the character of Kalpana Datta. It showcases the grit and determination of the women of 1930's. These were times when women were not allowed to participate in freedom movements. But here is a lady who braved all odds and took the gun in her hands to fight for the country.

12. Dum Maaro Dum
Deepika appeared in the dance number ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ for this movie.

Poorbi
13. Aarakshan

Deepika plays the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter, Poorbi Anand, who is also Saif Ali Khan’s love interest in the film.  Poorbi’s personality and persona are shaped by the relationships in her life – her daughter, a girlfriend, a friend and a student.  In essence, the film is about the impact that the issue of reservation has on a multitude of relationships and how this tests each of them.

Radhika Awasthi

14. Desi Boyz

Radhika Awasthi (Deepika Padukone) had been shown as Nick’s (John Abraham) girlfriend in this movie, who dreams of a lovely wedding, a great honeymoon and a wonderful house to live in after marriage. The movie portrays how they split because of the hidden truth that Nick was an escort and how he wins her back.

Veronica D'costa

15. Cocktail

Veronica has grown up in a broken family so she has not got the conventional love of parents. She is feisty but not a rebel. She is a super confident girl who craves for attention. She is a girl who is out there to have fun and enjoy herself.
She is not apologetic about herself and is looking for stability because she has not had that in her life. At the same time, she is very emotional.

It is clearly portrayed that she has grown to sporting more looks and styles and making them appear as they were meant for Deepika. But don't forget to follow, there's more coming up. Thank you.

All about YOU!!!!!!!!!!

We have been watching celebrities being endorsed as brand ambassadors for famous brands for many years. Hiring a successful Bollywood star as endorser is a no-brainer for brands if they have the money.  Box-office success dictates the appeal of a celebrity to a brand and Deepika is no exception. Bollywood heartthrob Deepika Padukone has been roped in for many brands. She has been having a continuous success in the movies she has acted in, which is, an incredible growth compared to the reel life of the actors with the same span. The box office hits has helped her great in her career, which the marketers look for, to endorse their brands. Her brand range is just as wide as her roles in different movies. She has been endorsing brands ranging from FMCG, apparel and automobiles to banking and financial brands to real estate to lifestyle and fashion.  Padukone is mostly seen addressing the target audience directly for a large number of the brands she endorses.

Geetanjali Bhattacharji, CEO, marketing service audit, Spatial Access, says, "Studies show that around 30 per cent of consumers would consider the purchase of a brand based on a popular face. A higher percentage would associate with a brand if the celebrity were actually linked to the brand message in some way or the other. If you closely examine the brands that Deepika is associated with and their messages, it is evident that brand custodians are crafting communication around her celebrity traits."

Padukone represents a strong, self-made, aspirational, politically correct, healthy and happy image that the youth aspires to acquire.  Marketers use her personality to project their brands. Cereal brand Kellogg's, for example, hired Deepika for representing great health and healthy habits. HP hired her to promote HP Slate6 and HP Slate7, which enable multi-tasking for users, a situation that is similar to the life of the endorser who has been a successful model, actor and badminton player at various stages of her life. Melange by Lifestyle took her on, as she was perfect as the one who represents style. Coke, Axis Bank, HP, Van Heusen, Melange by Lifestyle, Kellogg's and ACE Real Estate are some of the brands that she endorsees. She has been made the brand ambassador of Venus in October, 2015. The brands that have made her their brand ambassador has gained more brand awareness.

"We feel it will help us widen our appeal amongst our target audience - primarily urban women in the age group 18-32 years. Regarded as a style icon with substance - Padukone embodies contemporary sensibilities that strike a chord with the target group," says Srinivas Rao, assistant vice president, marketing, Lifestyle International.

In the brand endorsement space, she is in a neck-to-neck battle with Katrina Kaif (who, in the brand numbers game, is actually ahead of Padukone), Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
