So what have we got
this time for you? It's throwback modelling. Yes, we are going all the way down
the memory lane to Deepika’s days as kingfisher model. Pictures below :
Sources tell us that
Deepika had embarked on modelling career while in college. She was spotted at a
fashion show at National Law School, Bangalore. Even in her modelling career,
Deepika excelled, beginning with a smash-hit debut at the Lakme Fashion Week in
2005. But that’s not the only thing Deepika has shown her talents in, at the
fifth annual Kingfisher Awards, she was awarded the ‘Model of the Year’. Shortly
after that, she was selected as one of the model of the Kingfisher calender
2006.
But who says our
Deepika stopped there. Want to know what else she won? Yes, she did win. She had
won two trophies at the Idea Zee Fashion Awards: “Female Model of the Year –
(Commercial Assignments)” and “Fresh Face of the Year”.
It seemed Deepika had
grown to be Kingfisher’s personal favourite because she was made the brand ambassador
of Kingfisher airlines, but that’s not all. At the young start, she was chosen
as the Brand ambassador for Levi Strauss and Tissot SA.
In addition to these, she appeared in a music video for Himesh
Reshammiya’s song Naam Hai Tera. From this point, her career took off
with the offer for her debut in a kannaa movie ‘Aishwariya’. Yes, it wasn’t OM
SHANTI OM. Though Om Shanti Om was a major turning point in her career as an
actress. But Deepika, unlike so many
models who plunge headlong into the gold rush of movies when offers to act
finally come, knew that modeling and films were two completely diverse
occupations. She enrolled with Anupam Kher’s acting course before taking up
films.
And now look at where our Deepika is booming the box office and making her fans crazy with her acting magic. we hope she keep going always this way.
